Theories of Consciousness
There are many Theories of
Consciousness (TOCs), or Theory of Mind, including one based on Information Philosopher's mind model as an
Experience Recorder and Reproducer.
This I-Phi consciousness model has similarities to some of the most popular such theories, such as the Blackboard Model of
Herbert Simon and
Allen Newell,
Bernard Baars's Global Workspace Theory (GWT),
Giulio Tononi's Integrated Information Theory (IIT), and of course the search for Neural Correlates of Consciousness (NCC) led by
Christof Koch,
David Chalmers, and others.
